Common questions, answered
Which rollator should I choose — Micro or standard?
The Wonder Rollator (standard) suits average-height users: handles adjust 33–36 inches, seat height 22 inches, seat 18.5 × 6 inches. The Micro is the compact version for shorter users: handles about 27–30 inches, seat height 17 inches, seat 15.5 × 6 inches. Both weigh 14.5 lbs, support 250 lbs, and have four 6-inch wheels with locking brakes, a seat, backrest, and basket with pouch.
Will it hold my weight?
The compact Stander models (Wonder Rollator, Micro) support 250 lbs. The McKesson 4-wheel rollator supports 300 lbs. If you need more, the Heavy Duty model supports 450 lbs — always pick at or above the user's weight, never below.
Before you buy
Check weight vs capacity. 250 lbs (Wonder Rollator, Micro), 300 lbs (McKesson 4-wheel), 450 lbs (Heavy Duty). Never buy below the user's weight.
Check handle height vs the user. Standard: 33-36" handles, 22" seat - average-height users. Micro: ~27-30" handles, 17" seat - shorter users only.
Measure your trunk. They fold to about 10 x 11".
Don't buy the Micro for an average-height or taller user (seat is only 17" high).

Bought this because it takes up a lot less room in my car. However, on vacation we found how wonderful it is when eating in a restaurant. Instead of trying to figure out a place to set a regular walker, we can just fold it up and set it beside the table. The other thing I am enjoying is the weight is so much lighter. I have back issues and find that I don’t mind loading it into the car vs the old walker. My husband likes it folds small, light, and easy to use.
My first walker was too wide to fit through doorways and took the entire back seat to transport. This one is head and shoulders better in all categories. If easily folds to stand in the footwell on one side of the backseat, cruises easily through doorways and is a comfortable perch to rest on. I’m only comfortable for about twenty minutes sitting but that’s true of all walkers I’ve seen. I was concerned when I read that it weighed 30 lbs, which is much heavier than my previous one and I assume this is true. But this one easily folds into a compact package with a good handle making it far easier to move around than the other. The tires feel more plastic than rubber and seem to be less grippy but I’ve had no issues with slipping and have used it outside in the wet. It was a great purchase and has been a big help getting around.
I have had this rollator for more than a year and love it! I am no where near the weight capacity, however, due to my condition others are not safe because they flip over when turning easily. It’s extremely sturdy for me. I now have two!
I had gotten one for my wife and am very pleased with it, so when I found myself in the hospital with very weak legs, I decided I needed one too. I am 6 ft 2 in and 230 lbs, so I am at the extreme end of what is appropriate for the device. It works for me, but a larger person might have problems. Since I can’t walk very far, being able to sit down during my walk is a major plus. It appears to be very well made, so I don’t expect any problems with it for a long time.
I just got this Rollator and got to say it is well thought out, feels stable and so far walking with it is a breeze. I have back injuries from my Military and Public Safety careers and can''t walk more than 100 feet or so without sitting to allow my nerves to recover. Main reason for getting this was so i could start walking again and have a handy place to sit when I need to. Love that it comes with the basket and pouch for you assorted doo-dads and what-not. LOL Oh and this thing is BUILT LIKE A TANK! Completely satisfied with my decision to purchase it. Thanks Stander for a well designed and solid product. Hoo-Ahh!
