Common questions, answered
Will it fit my mattress?
Measure your mattress thickness first — every rail lists the range it fits. Most fit mattresses 6 to 14 or 16 inches thick. Two to check carefully: the Wonder Pivot Bed Rail fits 8–12 inch mattresses, and the Wonder EZ Adjust fits 10–14 inch mattresses.
I have an adjustable bed. Will these work?
Most bed rails do not work with adjustable base beds — check the product page before ordering. Three models do work on wooden adjustable bases with 10–12 inch mattresses: the Click-N-Go Bed Handle ($165), the Wonder Click Bed Handle Premium ($189), and the Wonder Click Extendable Bed Rail Premium ($239.99). None of them fit metal bed frames.
Are bed rails safe? I'm worried about entrapment.
Our full-size rails passed the ASTM F3186-17 safety standard for adult portable bed rails — that's the national standard written specifically to address entrapment. For a safe fit, the mattress should sit snugly against the rail with no gaps.
How does it attach to the bed?
Every rail secures to your bedframe with an included safety strap — no drilling into the bed.
Should I get a support handle or a full guard rail?
If the goal is help sitting up and getting out of bed, a support handle is enough — the Wonder Bed Handle ($90), or the BedCane ($110) which adds an organizer pouch for glasses and the phone. If the goal is keeping someone from falling out of bed at night, get a guard rail — the 30" Safety Bed Rail ($135.99) spans 30 inches wide, and the Prime Safety Bed Rail ($200) pairs a 27-inch guard with a heavy-duty 400-lb handle.
How much weight will it hold?
Published weight capacities: Prime Safety Bed Rail — 400 lbs. 30" Safety Bed Rail — 300 lbs. Wonder EZ Adjust Bed Rail — 300 lbs. Wonder Click Extendable Bed Rail — 300 lbs. Prime Bed Handle — 400 lbs.
Before you buy
Measure mattress thickness. Every rail lists the range it fits — most cover 6 to 14 or 16 inches. Check the two careful ones: Wonder Pivot Bed Rail (8-12"), Wonder EZ Adjust (10-14").
Check your bed base. Most rails do NOT work with adjustable bases or metal frames. Only three models work on wooden adjustable bases with 10-12" mattresses: Click-N-Go Bed Handle, Wonder Click Bed Handle Premium, Wonder Click Extendable Bed Rail Premium.
Don't buy this if: You have an adjustable base (unless it's one of the three above on a wooden base) or a metal bed frame. When in doubt, a support handle is for getting in/out of bed; a guard rail is for keeping someone from falling out at night — buy the one that matches the actual need.

Works as advertized....added a 3' length of 3/8 plywood underneath to give a little more support. It worked well as is, but the plywood gave some added support.
Well made, very sturdy, easy to install, and a great investment.
Bought a few days ago for my father so he could get into his bed and sleep in his bed instead of recliner. He slept well last night for the first time in a month. It has been literally a life saver in his ability to heal.
I purchased this product a month ago and so far I am satisfied with it.
I purchased this for my husband who had spine surgery. Very helpful to get out bed without twisting the spine.
